For adults, the FDA recommends an intake of 2-3 servings of sardines per week, which works out to be about 8-12 ounces—even pregnant women. For children, it’s 4-6 ounces.

Can I eat canned fish everyday?

This is dependant on the type of fish. Some people are safe to eat low-mercury fish on a daily basis. But fish that are high in mercury should not be consumed daily.

Are sardines healthier than tuna?

Although both options are healthy, sardines are more nutrient-dense. They contain a higher combined omega-3 (DHA and EPA) content than tuna does, as well as more vitamin E and calcium.
