This easy feta lemon vinaigrette with honey is fresh, tangy, and great for so many green salads. It’s even wonderful for pasta salads! A smidgen of honey balances out the lemon, and the feta cheese adds so much flavor.

Lemon can jive with just about anything, and that’s the beauty of this dressing. My go-to for this lemon vinaigrette is my loaded Greek salad, but it would work with this summer-inspired Greek Steak salad, a Niçoise salad, a side salad for pizza, or even a nice and simple cucumber tomato salad! I also wouldn’t be opposed to drizzling it over some grilled asparagus.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Simple ingredients—We’re looking at a bunch of stuff you likely already have in your kitchen, save for the feta maybe. But that’s easy to get your hands on!
- It goes with almost any salad—Having this lemon vinaigrette at the ready throughout the summer months is just plain smart because you can use it just about any salad you’re going to throw together.
- It’s light—The feta cheese gives the slightest bit of a creamy texture while still keeping things light and refreshing.
Lemon Vinaigrette Ingredients
A full ingredient list with exact measurements can be found in the recipe card below.
- Italian seasoning—I love my homemade Italian seasoning for this one. I’m all about using fresh herbs but there’s something about the concentrated flavor of dried herbs that, with just a little bit, bring on such a nice depth making it more flavorful.
- Honey—This brings on the right amount of sweetness to balance things out, and it blends throughout the dressing so much better than any granulated sugar.
Recipe Variations & Modifications
- Seasoning—You could use any Italian or Greek blend however, and in a real pinch, add 1/4 tsp of dried basil and 1/4 tsp dry oregano.
- Fresh herbs—I use chopped parsley since it’s nice and neutral, but you could use basil, dill, or oregano as well.
- Heat things up—If you want to add a spicy little kick, add a pinch of crushed chili flakes!
How to Make It
Step 1. Place all of the ingredients into a small blender and blend until well combined.
Step 2. Check the consistency. It doesn’t have to be completely smooth since the fresh herbs and feta will leave some texture. Give it a taste and adjust with salt or more honey for sweetness as needed.
Pro Tip
Dressings that contain raw garlic should be consumed within about 3 days. To increase the longevity of this dressing, you can substitute the minced raw garlic here with 1/4 tsp of garlic powder.
How to Use Lemon Vinaigrette With Honey
This is great on a veggie loaded Greek salad or this grilled Greek steak salad. You could also drizzle it over veggies. Think grilled asparagus, air fryer green beans, or these beautiful roasted mini potatoes!
Storage
- This dressing can be stored in an airtight bottle or container for up to three days. For a longer shelf life, replace the garlic clove with 1/4 tsp of garlic powder.
- Note that when refrigerated, the dressing will likely solidify a bit. Just leave it on the counter to sit for 15-20 minutes prior to use or give it a good shake.
