A good Greek salad should be big on crunch and big on flavor, and that’s exactly what we have going on here. From the warm flavor of roasted red peppers to the fresh and crisp crunch of cucumbers, this recipe covers it. Drizzle my feta lemon vinaigrette with honey over it and you’re in for a total treat!

Why You’ll Love This

  • It’s a crowd pleaser—Most people enjoy a good Greek salad, so this is a safe choice when contributing to a potluck or serving it to family.
  • It pairs with just about anything—Unless your main dish is that of a completely different culture, like Japan or India, a Greek salad can pretty much fly as a side to anything.
  • It’s easy—Minimal prep and accessible ingredients!

Loaded Greek Salad Ingredients

A full ingredient list with exact measurements can be found in the recipe card below.

Ingredients for salad on a light grey background.
  • Greens—Whatever greens you’re into will work! Romaine lettuce, bibb, spinach, spring mix, or a medley of several types.
  • Olives—I like using potent briny kalamata olives, and sometimes I include castelvetrano olives (so yummy). You could use canned black olives if that’s your preference.
  • Tomatoes—I’m always looking for cherry tomato recipes to use up my summer harvest, so they’re my go-to, but you could chop up a larger tomato instead.
  • Croutons—My favorite croutons to use are these air fryer croutons! They’re so crunchy and buttery.

Recipe Variations & Modifications

  • Croutons—If you want some crunch an prefer to nix the croutons, you could toss some toasted pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds into the mix.
  • Cheese—Feta cheese seems to be the obvious choice with Greek salads, but a nice and soft goat cheese would be great here as well.
  • Grains—You could add 1/4-1/2 cup of cooked grains in here for more heft. Quinoa is wonderful!

How to Make Greek Salad

I like to start by tossing the greens in some of the dressing alone just to ensure the greens are nicely and evenly coated. Then I toss in the rest of the ingredients, make sure everything is nicely distributed, and drizzle some extra dressing on top. The dressing I recommend using with this Greek salad is my feta lemon vinaigrette with honey. It’s perfect! But a nice balsamic vinaigrette works too.

How to Serve Greek Salad

Greek salad with feta has a flavor that pairs easily with most mains. We love it with what we consider the best turkey burger ever. You could also serve it with some air fryer chicken cutlets, baked Alaska pollock, or poached salmon. It’s great next to a slice of cast iron pizza or a bowl of homemade tomato soup, too!

Adding Protein

Adding protein to Greek salad is easy peasy. In my Greek steak salad, beautifully grilled steak tips are added. You could also add baked chicken meatballs, salmon, or grilled chicken. Adding a nice protein to a salad like this makes it a meal and is great for lunches!

Storage

  • This Greek salad will keep in the fridge in an airtight container for a day or two, and then it will inevitably start to get limp and loose it’s crisp and freshness.
